Create and configure service providers
Last updated: August 28, 2024
This topic describes how to create and configure iPortal service providers.
About service providers
A service provider is a set of credentials that gives access to an iProov regional platform to be used for development, test, or production. For example, a USA multi-tenant platform.
Unique names for service providers are not mandatory, however, iProov strongly suggests that you choose meaningful names that represent the intended use.
To create and modify service providers, you must be registered on iPortal, our customer engagement portal.
Recommended naming conventions
-
Direct customers: <direct customer name>.<product or use case>.<country or region>.<environment>
For example: WaterlooBank.banking.uk.prod
-
Partners: <partner name>.<end customer name>.<product or use case>.<country or region>.<environment
For example: Microsoft.WaterlooBank.banking.uk.prod

Verifier service providers
Additional configurations are required for Verifier service providers and you must inform iProov. If not, enrollments will have the standard data retention period. After the period expires you will not be able to verify those users.
