Face Verifier journey
Last updated: October 28, 2024
Face Verifier uses iProov's Genuine Presence Assurance® (GPA) to authenticate returning users against a pre-enrolled biometric template. After a user has enrolled they can return to authenticate on any device (mobile or desktop) with the same user experience across platforms. Every time a user authenticates, you can trust in the user’s genuine presence.
Face Verifier uses the following process to authenticate returning users:
-
Enrolls a user using one of these onboarding journeys:
-
Database photo enroll: a version of photo enroll where the image source is an existing trusted photo of a user instead of an identity document. The interaction with iProov is the same and the image must adhere to the image requirements.
-
Verifies the user
Face Verifier has specific data retention rules, for details see Data retention and deletion policies.
