Photo enroll journey
Last updated: October 28, 2024
Photo enroll uses iProov Enroller to verify an asserted identity when a user is onboarding or enrolling. It assures liveness and confirms that the enrolling user is genuinely present during identify verification. Photo enroll can be used in conjunction with any ID document capture service.
Onboarding process
Photo enroll uses two sequential onboarding processes to enroll new users from trusted photo ID documents:
-
Enrolls an existing trusted photo or an image captured from a document.
-
Completes a face verification using iProov's Genuine Presence Assurance® (GPA) or Liveness Assurance™ (LA).
Why enroll in this order?
iProov recommends always completing document capture before face verification. This allows iProov to enroll a user’s face from the ID document before proving the user’s legitimate ownership of the document and their genuine presence.
Can I self verify before document capture?
iProov recommends verifying a user against an enrolled image. However, some user journeys may require document capture after a face or liveness verification.
Multi-device journeys
iProov supports a wide range of multi-device journeys. Users can start on a desktop and complete the remaining steps on another device through a mobile application or a mobile web browser. Talk to our solution architecture team to understand how you can implement these types of these journeys.
