Step-up MFA

For high-risk transactions or sensitive operations within an application, step-up authentication can be implemented using Workforce MFA. This means that even after initial login, users may be prompted to verify their identity again with a facial scan when attempting specific actions, such as logging in from another country or accessing confidential data. This dynamic, risk-based approach strengthens security for critical operations without requiring continuous authentication for routine tasks. Step-up MFA aligns with the principles of Zero Trust security, where trust is never implicitly granted and verification is required before granting access to sensitive resources.
